Backyard Birds 2025

30 March 2025 — The usual assortment of backyard visitors

Including a few four-footed visitors.

Peanuts and black-oil sunflower seeds. Blue jay will go for the peanuts.

Nuthatches go for the sunflower seeds.

 

Downy woodpecker enjoys the suet

Titmouse likes peanuts

Nuthatch hammers the seed with its beak

 

 

 

 

 

 

Our winter visitors haven't flown north yet: White-throated sparrow

Our other winter visitor: dark-eyed junco

 

 

 

Titmouse arrives and inspects the tray of seeds.

Back to the first tray. Both trays have the same mixture of peanuts and sunflower seeds.

I'll have a peanut, thank you.
