Backyard Birds 2024

About 15 cm (6 inches) fell in the morning.
Put out fresh water. Had to remove the snow to fill the feeders.
Did something a bit different: filled both the peanut feeder and the sunflower seed feeder with sunflower seeds.
The usual guests.
A very shy red-bellied woodpecker (who usually grabs a peanut) paused long enough for a photo. The bird seemed to be looking for where the peanuts had gone. (There were some on the nearby platform feeders.)
So fast, just a blur — the red-bellied woodpecker makes off with a peanut from the platform feeder.
